I have a question regarding (growing) moss.
I want to let moss grow on a stone, which is the better option;
lava stone or slate or just common stone/rock
Does this depend on the type of moss?
Does it matter/help whether or not the stone is partially submerged?

At this moment i'm thinking about using javamoss on lava stone, which
will be partially submerged and using a different moss (spanghum or
Pleurocapous mosses, either from a fair or from outside) on plain rocks.
